Career Coach & Talent Coordinator | Part-Time, Contract | Los Angeles, CA

Location:  UCLA Campus, Los Angeles, CA (Building TBD)
Schedule: Part-Time, 15–20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $35–$45/hour depending on experience
Type: Independent Contractor

Fierce Staffing Services is seeking a skilled and passionate Career Coach & Talent Coordinator to support a Los Angeles-based educational nonprofit organization serving high school students on a path to college and career readiness. This is a part-time contract role with a structured program calendar running from summer 2026 through spring 2027.

The ideal candidate brings experience in career coaching, talent development, or workforce readiness, and is energized by working directly with young people to help them discover and pursue their professional potential.

Program Schedule

Required availability includes:

• Design Week: August 3–7, 2026
• Program Sessions 1–15: September 26, 2026 through May 1, 2027 (Saturday sessions)
• College Decision Day: May 15, 2027

Responsibilities

• Facilitate career coaching sessions and workshops for high school students
• Support talent identification, goal setting, and professional development activities
• Guide students through exploration of career pathways, industries, and post-secondary options
• Coordinate with program leadership to align coaching activities with program milestones
• Maintain student progress notes and contribute to program reporting as needed
• Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools for tracking and documentation
• Serve as a professional mentor and role model for program participants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years of experience in career coaching, talent development, workforce readiness, or a related field
• Experience working with high school or college-age students strongly preferred
• Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to commit to the full program calendar including Saturday sessions
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Reliable transportation to UCLA campus

Compensation & Terms

• $35–$45/hour based on experience
• Independent contractor engagement (1099)
• Payment processed on Net 30 terms post event/session cycle
• Approximately 15–20 hours per week during active program periods
