About Healing Rock Recovery

Healing Rock Recovery is a leading provider of integrated behavioral health services, specializing in substance use disorder treatment through Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, recovery-oriented care that supports long-term wellness, personal empowerment, and sustained recovery.

The Opportunity

In this full-time, on-site role, the Certified Peer Support Specialist serves as a vital member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Drawing from lived experience in recovery, you will provide peer-based support, mentorship, and advocacy to clients engaged in PHP and IOP services. This role supports client engagement, retention, and recovery capital while reinforcing hope, self-efficacy, and personal responsibility.

What You'll Do

  • Model recovery-oriented behaviors, healthy boundaries, and coping strategies
  • Support clients in developing and working toward individualized recovery goals
  • Facilitate peer-led groups focused on recovery skills, wellness, and community reintegration
  • Assist clients with navigating systems of care, including treatment, housing, employment, and community resources
  • Offer encouragement and support during transitions in care, including step-down planning and discharge preparation
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, medical, and case management staff to support integrated care delivery
  • Participate in treatment team meetings as appropriate, maintaining professional and ethical boundaries
  • Document peer support services accurately and timely in Kipu EMR in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
  • Support client engagement and retention through outreach, check-ins, and recovery-oriented relationship building

Why Join Healing Rock Recovery

  • A meaningful role where your lived experience is the credential — and where you directly influence client outcomes and recovery journeys
  • Mission-driven work with a team committed to changing lives through evidence-based addiction treatment
  • A supportive, collaborative environment with real opportunities for professional growth and training in behavioral health
  • Competitive pay and a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and family leave

Requirements

What You Bring

Required:

  • Current Montana Certified Peer Support Specialist certification in good standing
  • Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health conditions, with sufficient stability to serve in a peer support role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and trauma-informed peer support practices
  • Ability to provide peer support services within the defined scope of practice for Certified Peer Support Specialists in Montana
  • Ability to establish rapport, trust, and professional boundaries with clients
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn Kipu EMR (experience a plus, not required)
  • Full-time, on-site availability in Billings, MT

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits
