Result of ServiceThe consultant will: • Review relevant policies, programmes, governance arrangements, and existing CSR-related documentation. • Conduct stakeholder interviews and targeted consultations across relevant functions. • Collect and consolidate qualitative and quantitative information on current CSR-related activities. • Analyze findings and compare selected practices with relevant external organizations. • Prepare a baseline CSR report summarizing existing practices, achievements, available data, and key observations. • Develop recommendations, priority areas, and a multi-year roadmap based on assessment findings. • Design a structured reporting framework and reusable reporting template to support future annual CSR reporting. • Present findings and recommendations to UNJSPF stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final deliverables. Work LocationNew York Expected duration4 Months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) seeks to strengthen its understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices across the organization. CSR-related activities are currently embedded across areas such as governance, workforce management, beneficiary services, compliance, environmental responsibility, and organizational culture. While many of these activities already exist, they have not been assessed through a structured framework, resulting in limited visibility of strengths, gaps, and opportunities for future development. This consultancy will support UNJSPF in assessing current CSR-related practices, benchmarking selected activities, identifying strengths and gaps, and developing practical recommendations and a multi-year roadmap. The assignment will also produce a baseline CSR report and a structured reporting framework and template that can be maintained and updated on an annual basis. The objective of the consultancy is to support UNJSPF in developing a comprehensive internal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report and a sustainable reporting approach by: • assessing current CSR- and sustainability-related practices across the organization; • conducting benchmarking against selected comparable organizations and relevant practices; • identifying key strengths, gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement; • preparing a CSR report that consolidates existing CSR-related activities and practices across the organization; • developing practical recommendations and a multi-year roadmap to support future CSR development; and • developing a structured reporting framework and reusable template that can be maintained and updated on an annual basis. The assignment will focus on assessment, analysis, reporting, and recommendations, and will not include implementation. Qualifications/special skillsAdvanced university degree in sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), business administration, public administration, organizational development, or a related field. At least five years of relevant experience in CSR, sustainability, ESG, or related advisory work, including assessments, benchmarking, gap analysis, and development of recommendations and roadmaps is required. Experience preparing CSR, sustainability, ESG, or similar organizational reports and disclosures is required. Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and report-writing skills is required. Experience developing practical reporting frameworks, templates, or tools that support ongoing reporting and monitoring is required. Experience working with international organizations, pension funds, or public institutions is desirable. LanguagesFluency in English is required. Additional InformationNot available.
