Job Description

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our thriving pediatric dental practice for a full-time position at Castle Rock Smiles Pediatric Dentistry. We have an outstanding team and fun working environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during restorative procedures.
• Complete coronal polishing, fluoride treatment, and sealants.
• Assist the dentist during examinations, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Take and process dental X-rays.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Create a comfortable environment for young patients.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred (but not required).
• Knowledge of X-ray techniques and safety protocols.
• Experience with Eaglesoft software is a plus.
• Understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• A compassionate demeanor towards patients, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
