Job Title: Distribution Associate

Location: Covington, GA 30014

Duration: 3+ months (possible extension)

Job Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr on W2

Schedule: 9am-5:30pm



Job Summary

The Distribution Associate performs warehouse and material distribution activities related to the preparation and shipment of products.

Job Responsibilities

• Hand-stack and transfer products from custom pallets to standard 40" x 48" shipping pallets.
• Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking cases, and labeling boxes.
• Palletize completed orders by scanning, retrieving, and placing products onto pallets.
• Use RF scanners to process and track orders.
• Verify order accuracy and properly package shipments.
• Scan completed pallets and operate the shrink wrapper as needed.
• Assist with manual/ground manifest station duties.
• Learn and assist with other warehouse functions as needed.
• Provide backup coverage during employee absences or vacations.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of relevant warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Previous MHE (Material Handling Equipment) experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Ability to obtain an electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to read and understand distribution documents.
• Ability to operate MHE and RF scanners.
• Basic organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
• General knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual material-handling tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, and repetitive hand/wrist movements.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs. in some areas .
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment.
• Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate material-handling equipment.

Work Environment

• Moderate to loud noise levels.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and warehouse/distribution operations.
• Possible exposure to temperature changes, fumes, and airborne particles.

Important: This is a manual labor-heavy warehouse role . Candidates should be comfortable with hand-stacking products, repetitive lifting, palletizing, and working on their feet for most of the shift.
