About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Email & SMS Marketing Manager to own and grow the company’s retention marketing program. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic planning, creative execution, performance analysis, and operational management.

The ideal candidate will take full ownership of email and SMS marketing initiatives, including campaign planning, automation development, copywriting, design, deployment, reporting, and optimization. They should be highly analytical, systems-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of driving measurable revenue growth through customer retention and lifecycle marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the monthly email and SMS marketing calendar.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns aligned with overall business objectives.
• Create and refine customer segmentation strategies to improve targeting, engagement, and list health.
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated marketing flows, including: Welcome sequences, post-purchase campaigns, browse abandonment flows, win-back campaigns and customer retention automations.
• Write compelling email and SMS copy that aligns with the company's brand voice.
• Design and format marketing emails using existing brand guidelines and creative assets.
• Build, schedule, test, and deploy email campaigns through Klaviyo .
• Manage SMS campaigns through Postscript or similar platforms.
• Coordinate campaign approvals with leadership prior to deployment.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including: Revenue attribution, open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, subscriber growth, list health metrics.
• Conduct structured A/B testing on subject lines, content, segmentation strategies, and send times.
• Analyze campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements.
• Monitor deliverability metrics and proactively protect sender reputation.
• Manage email authentication and deliverability best practices, including: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Domain and subdomain strategies, IP and domain warming initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with email and SMS marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, consent, and opt-out requirements.
• Identify and implement list-growth opportunities through website integrations, social channels, lead magnets, referrals, and promotional campaigns.
• Maintain and document SOPs for all recurring email and SMS marketing processes.
• Organize campaign assets and maintain operational documentation for long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional team members to support overall marketing objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing and SMS marketing for DTC ecommerce brands.
• Expert-level experience with Klaviyo , including: Campaign creation, automation flows, segmentation, reporting and analytics and deliverability management.
• Proven experience managing SMS marketing programs using Postscript or similar platforms.
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt to established brand voices.
• Experience designing polished, customer-facing marketing emails without dedicated design support.
• Demonstrated ownership of retention marketing performance, revenue generation, and list health metrics.
• Experience working independently in remote and fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Experience developing and optimizing customer lifecycle marketing programs.

• Hiring rate USD 1288$/month (final rate will be experience-based).
