Professional Tree Care is hiring a
Laborer to serve as a primary DRIVER for one of its tree care crews based out of Richmond CA. The initial work will focus on grounds-person basics (dragging brush, cleanup, and supporting a tree care team), learning how to drive large work trucks, how to tow/back-up a trailer and, eventually, move into an Apprenticeship that allows you to learn how to climb trees as a professional.
REQUIREMENTS
- -Hardworking
- -Physically fit and able to lift +/- 75 pounds or more
- -Able to serve as a company driver: MUST have a current and clean California driver’s license. * Clean means no points or recent tickets! Very important since you will become the primary driver of one of our work trucks. Got prior experience driving a truck? Add it to your resume!
- -Able to work outdoors for up to 8 hours per day in inclement weather year-round, meaning hot in summer and cold in winter; maybe even raining
- -Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Bonus points for:
- -Bilingual English/Spanish. If you speak fluent Spanish, please add this skill to your resume.
- -Trades skills: carpentry, landscaping (plant maintenance & identification), hardscaping (building pathways, rock walls, etc.), general construction (building decks, sheds, etc.), Irrigation (installing manifold or drip lines), plumbing (installing PVC or other piping), etc. If you have this experience, please make sure it is on your resume.
- Having experience working outdoors year-round
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
-$21.00 per hour.

Job Type: Full-time/permanent with benefits
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week.
Overtime, if worked, will be paid at $30.50 per hour. Who Should NOT APPLY?- Anyone who does NOT HAVE SEVEN (7) YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE. This is NOT an entry-level role. While you’ll be LEARNING how to become a professional tree climber, your experience working with team members is important.
