Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing green-technology manufacturing facility in the Hardeeville area. In this critical role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine preventive maintenance on advanced industrial machinery to optimize performance, minimize operational downtime, and extend equipment life.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: $25.00 to $35.00/hr starting rate, highly dependent on your prior experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in machinery maintenance, industrial automation, or a related mechanical/electrical field.

  • Technical Aptitude: strong troubleshooting ability across electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read and accurately interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Physical & Logistics: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and safely operate material handling equipment (forklift or scissor lift experience preferred).

  • Software/Tools: Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word/Excel) and familiarity with CMMS software is a major plus.

  • Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA standards and standard industrial safety practices is highly desirable.

  • Work Style: Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills. Must be willing to work weekends or respond to maintenance emergencies when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex equipment failures, identify root causes, and communicate required corrective actions across relevant teams.

  • Perform major equipment repairs, rebuilds, and installations on advanced manufacturing machinery.

  • Execute corrective maintenance on multi-craft systems, including electrical (24 VDC to 480 VAC 3-phase), mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance (PM) inspections, including lubrication, cleaning, calibration, and component replacement, to fix issues before they escalate.

  • Assist in assembling, installing, and setting up new plant machinery or facility upgrades.

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track tasks, log work histories, and manage spare parts/tooling inventory.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment adhering strictly to facility protocols (such as Lockout/Tagout and 5S principles).

  • Cross-functionally collaborate with facility operators and management to address recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
