This position is fairly entry level ideally looking for someone with a mechanical engineering degree and 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment. They will waiver the education if they have 3-4 years mechanical engineering work experience in a manufacturing setting

Mechanical Engineer

Manufacturing company in Greenville NC is looking to a Mechanical Engineer to assist the Plant Manager. The person will assist the Plant Manager in directing production, distribution, and marketing operations for branch plant, or assigned territory of industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Assists Plant Manager, in Product analysis, development, quality control specifications or developmental issues.

Assist Plant Manager in Coordinating production, distribution and sales in accordance with company policies, principles, and procedures established.

Assist Plant Manager in Directing developments of plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.

Assist Plant Manager in reviewing production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division, in accordance of information provided by Business Administration, Production, QA and QC.

Assist Plant Manager in reviewing operations of competing organizations and plans and assists sales program to develop new markets.

Assist Plant Manager in directing preparation of Manufacturing Cost and purchase orders for production. Recommends budgets to plant manager for plant needs.

Prepares monthly reports for plant manager.

Assist Plant Manager in determining type and quantities of products according to consumer demand.

Assist Plant Manager in Advising US Sales Branch of polices for distribution and sale of products to wholesale and retail outlets and consumers.

Assit Plant Manager in regulatory duties.

Maintain good regular attendance and be at work on time.

Follow all company policies and procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Plant Manager in directing and managing all Technical, Quality Control and Production and Plant associates. Participates in the hiring process for plant personnel. Reviews all appraisals for all plant ' personnel with the Plant Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineer Degree and/or 3-5 years industrial manufacturing experience required.

Microsoft Excel, Word and Internet.

May be waived by Plant Manager or designee

Must have mechanical experience.

Bachelor s Degree Requirement: Preferred
