Job Description

First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood is seeking a gifted musician, collaborative colleague, and creative leader to help shape the next chapter of our music ministry.

Duties are:

• Accompany the Chancel Choir rehearsal on Thursday evenings
• Accompany the Chancel Choir Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m.
• Serve as worship organist at least twice a month
• Serve as organist with the Christmas Concert and Good Friday orchestras
• Accompany Christmas Eve 2:00 and 10:00 p.m. worship services
• Play memorial services and weddings as scheduled with the Director of Music Ministries (additional compensation)
• Serve as organist and Chancel Choir director when the Director of Music Ministries is on vacation/away

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in music
• Skilled organist and pianist
• Choral conducting experience preferred
• Ability to edit and create concert, recital, and various service programs

This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week. Compensation is $30,000 annually (plus additional compensation for weddings and memorial services).
