Job Description

Salary: $68,900 - 131,100 per year Requirements:

  • We require a bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline.
  • We require current or equivalent NAS 410 Level 2 certification across multiple methods, including ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and fluorescent penetrant testing.
  • We require hands-on experience using several nondestructive test techniques, such as digital radiography, film radiography, and ultrasonic testing, including contact, immersion, and CSAM methods.
  • We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance before the start date.
  • We require a current Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain interim clearance prior to starting.
  • We prefer a bachelors degree in engineering.
  • We prefer experience developing and interpreting NDT procedures and technique sheets.
  • We prefer a strong background inspecting aerospace products, including composites, castings, welds, braze joints, microcircuits, and computer card assemblies.
  • We prefer familiarity with failure analysis tools and equipment, such as digital and optical microscopes, laser milling, die shear/bond pull machines, and plasma etching.
  • We prefer knowledge of ESD protection and military, aerospace, microcircuit, and commercial material/process specifications.
  • We prefer strong documentation, technical writing, and professional communication skills.
  • We prefer the ability to work independently, contribute as a team member, and stay effective in a demanding, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
  • We perform nondestructive testing to support production operations, developmental design, and failure analysis.
  • We inspect hardware onsite and travel to offsite locations when needed to support requestors and evaluate parts or assemblies.
  • We develop new inspection techniques for qualified methods and help validate test setups and sequencing.
  • We collaborate closely with engineers to build test plans and ensure inspections are properly designed and executed.
  • We manage a variety of assignments while meeting schedule and budget expectations.
  • We analyze test results, communicate findings to engineering stakeholders, and document outcomes in formal engineering reports.
  • We contribute to a multidisciplinary team that solves a broad range of technical challenges.
  • We may work second shift depending on business needs.
  • We may travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
