Job Description

About the Role

The Pastry Cook III is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, and other sweet creations in accordance with Four Seasons standards. This role supports both restaurant and banquet operations by ensuring exceptional product quality, consistency, food safety, and presentation. The Pastry Cook III is a valued member of the Culinary team and reports to the Pastry Chef or Executive Pastry Chef. 

What You Will Do
  • Prepare pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, ice creams, sorbets, and specialty sweet items according to established recipes and presentation standards. 
  • Complete daily mise en place and maintain an organized pastry station for service and production needs. 
  • Assist with production planning by preparing items in advance while minimizing waste and maintaining freshness. 
  • Operate and maintain pastry and kitchen equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, food processors, slicers, and dough sheeters. 
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance. 
  • Monitor inventory levels, communicate shortages, and support food cost and waste control initiatives. 
  • Collaborate professionally with culinary team members and contribute to a positive, productive kitchen environment.
What You Bring
  • Minimum one year of culinary, pastry, baking, or related food preparation experience. 
  • High school diploma, culinary school training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, baking fundamentals, and food safety practices. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
