The Adrian College Board of Trustees invites nominations and applications for theposition of President for Adrian College.
The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Adrian College, responsible for guiding the institution in achieving its academic, business, and strategic goals. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President works closely with the Board Chair to provide transparent leadership and regular institutional updates.
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of management effectiveness, preferably within liberal arts higher education. The President must be committed to holistic student development and foster an open campus, a culture of mutual respect, and a unified environment where all students are supported in becoming high-impact graduates. They will be adept at building transformational relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, trustees, and external constituencies.
The candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of private college leadership across academics, athletics, admissions, student affairs, fundraising, and budget management—specifically within a residential liberal arts setting serving a broad student body and many first-generation students. As a visionary, the President must articulate the enduring value of a liberal arts education to donors and the broader community while maintaining the fiscal discipline necessary to ensure Adrian College remains financially stable and capable of strategic investment through effective revenue and expense management.
