Primary PE Teacher

Position: Primary PE Teacher
Division: Primary School
Location: Shanghai
Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for primary school students.
* Adapt lessons to students’ different ages, abilities, and needs.
* Develop students’ physical skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits through games, skills training, and team activities.
* Support school sports events, clubs, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
* Work collaboratively with Chinese PE teachers and other members of the school team.
* Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
* Follow school policies regarding student safety, wellbeing, and professional conduct.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or above in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sport Coaching, or a related field preferred.
* Experience teaching or coaching primary-aged children.
* Strong spoken English and good communication skills.
* Strong classroom management and teamwork skills.
* Enthusiastic, patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
* Experience in an international or bilingual school is an advantage.

Sports Skills

Experience in basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, badminton, or other sports is welcome.

Experience teaching or coaching Floorball is highly preferred.

Candidates with the following experience will be given priority:

* Experience teaching or coaching Floorball to children or young learners;
* Relevant Floorball coaching qualifications or certifications;
* Ability to design age-appropriate Floorball lessons;
* Experience running school Floorball clubs, competitions, or tournaments.
