Private Family Chef — Riverdale, NYC (3 days/week, M/W/Fri), October start
Large growing family in Riverdale seeking a warm, talented private chef to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Fri — Fridays include extra prep for Shabbat).
Menu: Primarily vegetarian with some fish, chicken, and occasionally beef. We love global flavors — Israeli, Mediterranean, Thai, Indian and beyond. Healthy, natural, wholesome, low-fat/heart-healthy meals that are flavorful but kid-friendly.
Role: Breakfast, lunch and dinner 3 days/week (thinking Mon, Wed, Fridays), with special prep on Fridays for Shabbat. Would like to keep the fridge stocked with things like fresh homemade almond milk, homemade energy/lactation bars, ready-to-go smoothies and salads, and other grab-and-go nourishing food for a busy household. Special focus on nutrient-dense, nourishing meals to support pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
Looking for someone who is passionate about natural, whole-food cooking — not just executing recipes but genuinely into nourishing, ingredient-driven food. Experience cooking for families, comfortable with a variety of palates from young kids to adults. Kosher kitchen experience a plus (or willingness to learn our kashrut practices).
