A private individual in New York City is seeking an experienced, full-time Private Chef to prepare fresh, restaurant-quality meals in a private residence. The ideal candidate will enjoy creating simple, elegant cuisine using high-quality ingredients while accommodating the principal's dietary preferences. The client values long-term employment relationships and is seeking a chef who is looking for a stable, long-term position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily lunch and dinner for one principal.
• Accommodate a diabetic-friendly diet with minimal sugar.
• Source and purchase premium ingredients as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen.
• Manage kitchen inventory and food storage.
• Coordinate meal preparation around the principal's schedule.
• Collaborate with the principal on menu planning and food preferences.
• Provide recommendations for kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Private Chef in a private household.
• Demonstrated longevity in prior private service positions.
• Experience preparing healthy meals and accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to the principal's preferences.
• Must be able to provide outstanding professional references.

Schedule: Full-time position, Five-day workweek, Primary meal service will be lunch and dinner.
