Job Description

A full-service retail real estate advisory firm operating throughout the eastern U.S. seeks an entry level Associate based in its Miami, Florida office.

The position will work directly with a Vice President and will be involved in all aspects of leasing advisory and tenant representation services. The individual must be a self-starter willing to grow with a dynamic company with a complete focus on servicing the company’s institutional and private client's. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, driven, and organized individual.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Develop follow-up materials for clients (e.g., lease comparisons, market overviews, market presentations, coordinate information with other departments and brokers)
  • Develop, administer and update and execute a strategic leasing plan (SLP) for each property in the leasing portfolio
  • Maintain regular contact with tenants and monitor lease expirations
  • Develop and grow relationships with national, regional, and local tenants, as well as tenant brokers, businesses, civic groups, and individuals
  • Research competitive market information and maintain an understanding of market dynamics
  • Participate in team meetings to update colleagues and Managing Director on leasing activity, market information, new business generating efforts, prospects and market knowledge and trends
  • Maintain and update clients and owners using their required method of reporting
  • Perform financial analyses with minimal supervision
  • Effectively utilize all internal support groups and internal databases to support business
  • General knowledge of the local laws governing landlord/tenant relationships
  • Prepare basic to intermediate financial analysis
  • Conduct, coordinate and oversee mass marketing campaigns by utilizing the marketing team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A college degree in Business Administration is required. A major in Real Estate or finance is a preferred
  • Ability to communicate tactfully, skillfully, and persuasively with all stakeholders.
  • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with colleagues, GIS team, and Leasing Administrator/Admin
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
  • Intermediate understanding of real estate fundamentals
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment and with a willingness to have fun while doing it
  • A real estate salespersons license is a plus.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
