Job Description

Our Mission

Money sitting idle is money lost. We're fixing that.

Founded in 2023 by Antoine and Paul-Adrien , Spiko gives businesses, non-profits, financial advisers, and fintechs access to institutional-grade cash management, via app or API. We are building the full infrastructure: issuing, operating, and distributing the products ourselves.

Two years after launch, we serve thousands of organizations across Europe and process hundreds of millions of euros in flows every month. Netherlands is one of our priority markets for the next phase of growth.

Our ambition: become the world's leading treasury management infrastructure in a market worth trillions.

We are backed by Index Ventures, the CEO of Revolut, the founder of Kyriba, and the CTO of Wise.

Spiko runs on excellence, transparency, and straight talk.

The role: Risk Officer

Spiko operates at the frontier of financial infrastructure, building products for which there are no established playbooks. Every major choice we make needs to be assessed against its real risk implications. As Spiko scales, both in AuM and in the complexity of our financial infrastructure, we're building out a dedicated risk function to make sure we make the right choices as we grow. You'll be the first Risk Officer, responsible for mapping, monitoring, and mitigating the risks across our regulated activity.

This is a role at the intersection of traditional asset-management risk and risks specific to on-chain infrastructure. Because so much of what we build is genuinely new, you'll often be the one shaping how we think about risk in the first place, not just applying an existing framework. You'll work closely with Finance, Compliance & Legal, Product and Tech, as well as external partners such as CACEIS, Amundi and our banking partners.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll have real autonomy in shaping Spiko's risk framework as the company expands across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Map and monitor risks

• Build and maintain Spiko's risk mapping across market, counterparty, operational, liquidity and

technology risks

• Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and associated limits

• Produce regular risk reporting to the Head of Finance and, where required, to the regulator

Support the development of Spiko

• Contribute to the risk review of new operational schemes and new regulated activity

• Contribute to regulatory files, including as part of Spiko's UK expansion (FCA)

• As the balance sheet of Spiko increases, you will be in charge of the “K factors” computation

• Support relationships with external partners (depositary, valuation agent, banking partners) on risk-control matters

Strengthen governance and internal processes

• Develop and document risk management policies and procedures

• Participate in risk committees and present analyses to internal stakeholders

• Train and raise awareness among teams on risk topics

Who we’re looking for

Requirements (must haves):
  • Experience : at least 3 years in Sales, ideally at a tier 1 startup.

  • Network : you’ve already worked with CFOs of startups, scale-ups or SMBs.

  • Mindset : extremely ambitious, eager to help build a best-in-class sales machine for the French market.

  • Autonomy : capable of running a full sales cycle independently from prospection to account management.

  • Resilience : We recruit people who get things done, rather than people who make excuses.

  • Tech-savvy : experienced with CRMs and familiar with sales tools like Aircall, Kaspr, Lusha, etc.

  • Excellent communication : native speaker in French, fluent in English.

What we offer

  • Competitive package : salary + stock options

  • Office : in the heart of Paris

  • Remote work : up to 2 days per week and/or one full remote week per month

  • The best tech for your job : a latest-generation MacBook and industry-leading software

  • Health insurance : 100% covered

  • Monthly Budget to cover different perks of choice

  • Transport : 50% of public transport pass covered or the Forfait Mobilités Durables (FMD)

  • Referral Bonus

  • Social life : regular afterworks and biannual offsites

Our hiring process

  1. Screening Interview - 30 mins with Thomas, Talent Acquisition

  2. Hiring Manager interview - 30 mins with Paul-Armand, Head of Finance

  3. Business Case: To work on at home and present online or in person

  4. Final in-person Interviews with the Founders

  5. Reference Check: We'll reach out to your references to gather further insights

  6. Offer

If something here doesn't match your résumé perfectly but you believe you'd thrive in this role, apply anyway. Tell us why.
