Job Posting: Shipping & Receiving Operator (Warehouse Ops + Data Entry)

Location: Johnson City, TN (On-site)
Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr (W2)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Interview: In-person interview required
Requirements: Drug test required • Steel-toed shoes required

About the Role

We’re hiring a Shipping & Receiving Operator to support a hands-on warehouse environment that also includes computer work and documentation . This role is ideal for someone who can balance physical warehouse duties (palletizing, shipping/receiving, returns) with basic data entry using shipping systems and spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against paperwork (POs/packing slips)
Pick, pack, label, palletize, and prepare outbound shipments accurately and safely
Load/unload product using proper equipment and safety procedures
Process returns: inspect, document, and track returned items per guidelines
Enter received/returned product details into internal systems as needed
Support inventory organization and report discrepancies to leadership
Maintain warehouse cleanliness/organization (including designated areas)
Operate warehouse tools/equipment safely (pallet jacks, scanners, rolling stairs, etc.)
Provide administrative support such as data entry, recordkeeping, and basic communication tracking

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Shipping/receiving + warehouse experience (distribution preferred)
Comfortable with basic computer use and data entry (shipping systems, spreadsheets, documentation)
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day
Safety-minded and able to follow warehouse policies/OSHA standards
