Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Bloomfield, CT
Job Type: Full-Time Onsite
Work Schedule : Rotating 2-week schedule shared with another Physician Assistant.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a busy Urgent Care practice . The provider will deliver urgent care and occupational health services , including pre-employment and DOT physicals , while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff.

The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills in acute care, patient assessment, and treatment planning , and be comfortable caring for pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat acute conditions and injuries in an urgent care setting.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans.
• Provide wound care, medication administration, and minor procedures.
• Conduct occupational health services , including pre-employment and DOT physicals .
• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete encounter notes within 24 hours .
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program .
• Active Connecticut Physician Assistant License required.
• Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required.
• Federal DEA License required.
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification required.
• CPR and AED Certification required.
• Spanish-speaking ability preferred .
• Urgent care or acute care experience preferred .
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred , though new graduates may be considered .
