Commercial Roofing Superintendent – Charlotte, NC

Overview
A commercial roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage roofing projects from start to finish. This role oversees field operations, coordinates crews and subcontractors, and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise foremen, crews, and subcontractors

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality roof installations

  • Manage daily field operations to meet project timelines and goals

  • Conduct safety audits and enforce compliance with safety standards

  • Track labor, production, and job progress; maintain accurate reports and documentation

  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries while minimizing waste

  • Monitor installation quality and perform inspections/testing as needed

  • Communicate regularly with customers, providing updates and resolving issues

  • Review project plans, contracts, and specifications to ensure proper execution

  • Plan and organize projects, including pre-job safety and workflow planning

  • Investigate incidents and submit required reports in a timely manner

  • Support project closeout, including final inspections and documentation

  • Collaborate with project managers and assist with site take-offs when needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing or related experience

  • Experience managing crews and subcontractors

  • Knowledge of commercial roofing systems

  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); project software experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
