First Baptist Church of Highlands, Texas is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor to lead our congregation in spiritual growth, discipleship, and community outreach. Our church has a commitment to biblical preaching and teaching, strong Southern Baptist missions involvement, financial faithfulness, family-centered ministry, long-term stability, and a heart for evangelism and discipleship.
Highlands, Texas is a close-knit community located in eastern Harris County, offering a blend of small-town values and suburban convenience. Families are drawn to the area for its affordability, strong sense of community, and community involvement.
We are seeking a pastor who is:
– Deeply committed to the authority of Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit.
– Dedicated to preaching and teaching God’s Word with clarity and conviction.
– Passionate about discipleship and equipping believers to grow in their walk with Christ.
– Engaged in reaching the local community with the love of Jesus Christ.
– Going to implement, lead, and participate in evangelism efforts to spread the gospel in our community.
– Able to provide compassionate pastoral care and foster unity within the church family.
Qualifications:
– A clear calling to pastoral ministry.
– Alignment with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message
– Ministry and preaching experience preferred.
– Seminary education (completed or in progress) is encouraged.
Compensation – Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
