Role Purpose

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can turn Luminar into one of the most inspiring photography brands on social media.

This is a creative and highly hands-on role for someone who understands both branding and platform algorithms. You’ll own Luminar’s social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, create compelling content, collaborate with photographers and creators, and continuously experiment to find what resonates with millions of people.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy (30%)

• Develop and own Luminar’s social media strategy
• Translate brand strategy into engaging social content
• Define channel-specific approaches for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• Build content pillars and editorial planning
• Identify new content opportunities and platform trends

Content Creation (40%)

• Plan, create and publish engaging content
• Edit short-form videos and social-first creative assets
• Produce content that aligns with Luminar’s premium visual identity
• Continuously improve creative quality

Analytics & Experimentation (20%)

• Monitor social media performance across platforms
• Define success metrics and reporting
• Run creative experiments and content tests
• Analyze audience behaviour and optimize content strategy
• Turn insights into actionable recommendations

Creator & Ambassador Collaborations (10%)

• Work closely with photographers, ambassadors and creators
• Brief creators on campaigns and content
• Curate and repurpose creator-generated content
• Support community-driven storytelling

Requirements:

• Min 2 years of experience managing social media for a brand
• Experience growing Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube organically
• Strong portfolio of high-performing social content
• Hands-on experience editing short-form video
• Excellent visual taste and understanding of design principles
• Experience using analytics to improve performance
• Comfortable working independently from idea to publication

Nice to have

• Photography as a hobby or professional experience
• Experience with photo editing software (Luminar, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
