Your expertise in managing and mentoring teams, building structured training programs, and fostering cultures of collaboration sets you apart.

You thrive in fast-paced environments where innovation is celebrated and continuous improvement is the norm. • Define and implement a curriculum covering industry-leading emulation, prototyping, verification flows, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Establish structured onboarding processes, training milestones, and performance metrics to ensure consistent development and success.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage early-career engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide hands-on coaching in real customer scenarios, guiding trainees to apply their knowledge effectively and confidently.
  • Partner with R&D, sales, and field teams to align training content with real-world needs and business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate emerging technologies and best practices into the training program.
  • Measure program effectiveness and iterate on the curriculum for continuous improvement and scalability, including global expansion.
  • Support customer engagements as a senior technical authority, ensuring high-quality outcomes and reinforcing Synopsys’ reputation.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Transform top university graduates into highly effective, customer-facing EDA Applications Engineers, fueling Synopsys’ talent pipeline.
  • Elevate the technical capabilities and customer engagement skills of the Applications Engineering team, driving business growth.
  • Establish Synopsys as the employer of choice for emerging EDA talent, strengthening our leadership in emulation and prototyping.
  • Enhance cross-functional collaboration and alignment, ensuring training outcomes directly support business goals and customer needs.
  • Drive innovation by incorporating industry trends and new technologies into the development program.
  • Scale a robust training model for global deployment, ensuring consistent excellence across regions and teams.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and technical performance through targeted training and mentorship.

What You’ll Need:

  • 20+ years of experience as an Applications Engineer in EDA, with a strong focus on emulation and/or prototyping.
  • Proven experience managing teams and developing technical talent, ideally in a graduate or early-career context.
  • Track record of customer-facing success and technical leadership in complex, high-impact projects.
  • Deep knowledge of EDA workflows, verification methodologies, and hardware-assisted verification techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with emulation and prototyping systems, including industry-leading platforms and tools.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows, from RTL design to system validation and deployment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing early-career engineers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptable, open-minded, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented, with a focus on delivering measurable impact.
  • Empathetic and inclusive, fostering a supportive and diverse team culture.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will join a dynamic and forward-thinking Applications Engineering team dedicated to advancing Synopsys’ leadership in emulation and prototyping. Our team is passionate about technical innovation, customer success, and talent development. Together, we work closely with R&D, sales, and marketing to deliver solutions that shape the industry and empower our customers. As Director of the Graduate Program, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundation for Synopsys’ future technical talent, ensuring our continued success and impact.
